Please fix one thing at a time. If the carb is back together and it is not starting, lets begin by checking the spark. If the rotor points to number one when it is on the top of compression, and the points just open at that point there should be spark. Is it a mag! If so it must have a impulse coup[ling click at TDC. THe wire on the mag can be disconnected, it is a ground and shorts out the system to stop the tractor. If it has a distributor and coil, turn on the switch and open the cap. with the coil wire 1/4" away from the block, Not you. Use the driver to just tickle the points to make and break them. If it has spsrk, button it back up and go to the fuel system. Fuel should run out of the line attached to the carb in a good pee stream. If it does not, clean the system and lines. (there may be a screen at the carb fitting. If it flows, the issue may be plugged up lines. The air control butterflys must snap closed on gas position, and snap open on diesel. THere is also a switch that shuts off the ignition when in diesel position (on the manifold) it must also work to make spark. Let us know more. Again fixing more than one thing makes it worse. good luck, JimN
