I was given the remains of a power unit from a windrower and I am trying to replace the missing parts and restore it. It is a C-123 block with part number 366295R3 and date code 2*28*E. It has a serial number on the block of 60736, with no prefix or suffix, and the data tag shows serial H-3263. The data tag also shows IH of Canada - Hamilton, but the block looks to be cast in Louisville (big L casting letter). The front mount (which may be specific to the windrower?) has a part number of 355839R2 and date of 11*12*E. The rear bell housing cover has part number 8545 and date code 3*25*F(?). The manifold looks to have a very short carb mount. It looks shorter than the one on my Super C. It has part number 866905R1 and the date code is unreadable. Maybe for use with a taller carb or a spacer?
First off, what windrower would have used this engine? I want to see what it looked like originally to restore it.
Second, what parts are unique to this type of installation? It does not have a clutch, just a direct drive through the bell housing. The original cork plugs are all still there.
Third, where can I go to get the Power Unit specific parts? I am looking for the hand clutch workings and some other parts. I don't know if it originally had controls and gauges or if they were by the driver's seat.
