Larry, besides the grease suggested, and I'm not sure if this fan set up is the same as on the M but....On the M, there are several discs of split ring packing inside the outer shaft behind the packing nut. Sometimes if you just tighten up the packing nut it will stop the leak. If the nut bottoms out then you have to remove some of the old split packing rings and replace them with new. The rings are made of a flax type of material and are available from the dealer. All this of course if your 400 is the same set up as the M.//FB
