Geez I know I'm blind in one eye and can't see out t'other but how I missed that big 'ol oil cooler right up in front of the radiator is beyond me... There it was like you descibed on hinges even to make it easy to clean it and the radiator. But it wasnt stopped up at all. It was as clean as the rest of the tractor. This one is a cherry that had one owner before me and they (according to a friend of mine who knew the owners) never really worked it but used it mostly to move equipment between fields and occassionally to rake hay. It looks like its spent it's life stored inside and still has the plastic plugs in the accessory mounting holes. It has no welding or baling wire repair jobs and only 1400 hours. I paid dearly for it but I sure get a big grin everytime I run it. Worth every penny compared to all the junk I looked at for 3 years before for just a little less money.
