mike if you got wiring spaghetti, do like old says and hot wire it. if you are 6 v postive ground, run a wire from the neg on the battery to the coil, terminal opposite the one that goes to the distributor. use an alligator clip, so if it fires up, you can shut it down quickly. pull the coil wire or a spark plg wire , hook up the jumper and crank it over, see if you get spark. if you get spark, be sure tractor is in neutral, block the back wheels, set the throttle about 1/4 open, give her a quick snort of ether starting fluid and crank er over, she should pop on ether. if she pops, be sure the fuel is on, give er another quick snort and let er rip!!! if it fires up, it 'll prolly smoke some till she clears out, then let her run at a fast idle, keep yer eyeball on the oil pressure. if you dont get pressure shut er down quick. when all is good, have the wife and kids plan an escape route, climb aboard, select 1st or 2nd gear and go fer a zoom!!!!!
