there is not much slack in the system and reserves are much lower then expected. Will oil hit $100? I can't belive it is this high. binladen said we shoul be paying 100 a barrel and it looks like that may happen. I have done my part and cut way back on my fuel use. I just called my fuel supplier and tractor gas *fed tax included* is going for 2.57 cash price over 300 gals. i will probally take 330 gallons. I sure wish it was still .89 like it was for so many years. Heating oil is at 2.89 just 4 years ago i filled up at 1.10 There is no way in heck i will pay almost 3 dollars for non tax diesel to heat my home. electric is now cheeper then oil...I will run wood as my primary and electric as my back up. Electric rates in my area are the same since 1987 but they do surcharge more today as they have to buy off the expensive "spot" market. The surcharg adds on about 2 cents per kilo watt hour and in 1987 they almost never has to surcharge. i guess it averages to 10-11 cents per kilo watt hour. i use 1100-3300 kilo watt hours a month. 3300 is when i run my heaters in the dead of winter. how high will oil go??
