between the H & M the M has more power. The M is a larger frame tractor and just bigger overall, period. The H is more or less a shrunken version.
Stepping up to the Super series the same thing. Both tractors went to disc brakes and live hydraulics were an option. Engine CID and HP for both were increased.
M has a C248 engine, Super M has a C264 and a SMTA / 400 / 450 uses a C281. Rebuild kits are available to make 248 into a 264 and a 264 into a 281. GO along the same lines for H engines but subtract about 100 CID
LPTO and TA were not available on a Super H or Super M, They became available with the introduction of the Super MTA in 1954. There was never a Super HTA (though some have made them). A TA and LPTO became available in an H sized tractor in 1955 with the introduction of the Farmall 300.
