Jim, when the H came out, Farmall recommended 80 octane. 87 is more than adequate. Anything higher and you are just wasting money and not getting any appreciable increased performance. I am speaking of non pulling Farmalls. I am not into pulling so I am sure that is a completely different ballgame.
