Had one bad experience with Fram and never used them again. Bought a new Chev PU in 92 with a 350 and was experiencing a knock at startup. Asked the dealer and he asked what filter I used. I told him I always used Fram. He advised me to get the Fram off of it and do not use them and the problem will probably go away. It did and that was my last Fram. Oil draining back into the crankcase and knock was basically dry start on every fire up. Of course you probably would not have this issue with a filter mounted bottom up. Mine was mounted on it's side on my 4x4 pickup. Some may cringe, but I use Super Tech filters on everything including my diesel tractor with the exception of odd filters I cannot get and I use Napa (Wix). I will admit the Wal-Mart filters quality went downhill recently, but they were good quality till recently.
