A while ago there was an article in Red Power Magazine that outlined how one of the readers of the magazine boosted the power of his Cub. I'll try to remember what was stated. First was overboring the block to accept .060 over pistons. Next was boring out the intake manifold where the carburator bolts on to 1 inch. Another was milling the head to increase compression but I don't remember how much. Possibly your machine shop person could advise you on this. I think the last thing was to drill out the main jet in the carburator to the next size larger. He stated that he experienced no ill side effects with his cub after doing this. Good Luck!!!!
