I picked up three pails of the NAPA GL-1 mineral oil this morning. Its still 39 bucks for 5 gallons, which is far cheaper than I was able to find the straight 90 weight anywhere else. (Advance Auto Parts still had a GL-5 for 33 bucks a pail)
Ill try to get things changed out tomorrow, but the county fair is in town, and the pulls are tomorrow, so that might distract me for a while.
e-manhunt, the guy that owned my machine before me used to drain out the old oil, run it through filter cloth, and then would heat it up outside to drive off the water. I dont advise the method, since you can scorch the oil or hurt yourself doing it, but I guess it would work if you had a good way to control the heat. But I guess it depends on what you want the oil for... You could always just skim off the top of it for use in your oil cans...
