I just purchased this tractor in central Connecticut. Nice tractor with original paint, decals, lights, muffler, etc. The original owner had ordered a MTA but had to accept the 400 as shipped. I went to the archives and found one post that said only 103 of the 400 model were equipped from the factory with the Electrall AC generator. It was mounted on the right side just ahead of the belt pulley gear box. It is belt driven from another gear box that get its power from the IPTO gear just behind the main clutch. I am looking for confirmation as to whether this figure is correct. Also would like to know whether IH made their dealers take the Electrall on the earliest 400's. Has anyone here at YT seen any other 400's with the Electrall attachment lately?
