Just looked at my "Blue Ribbon Service Manual" and it sez that the No.1 Bearing is 1.811 x 1-3/8" No.2 " " 1.577 x 1" No.3 " " 1.499 x 1-3/16" Could your Cam be bent between #1 and #2 bearing causing it to "Wobble" in the #1 bearing surface? Thus wearing down the end of the camshaft. Maybe this isn't even probable but my book also says no bushings.//FB
