Wondering if anyone has the correct static timing spec for a 706 with Roosa Master injection pump. I believe it has the D282 engine. When I pulled the pump off for overhaul I lined up the timing marks in pump window and at that point the flywheel marks were at 10 degrees ATDC. I installed the rebuild pump at the same location and it ran terrible, white smoke and missing at all rpm. I readjusted the timing to 6 degrees BTDC as thats the closest spec I could find, it starts and runs alot better but still has a flutter at higher rpm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Local dealer could not find spec.
