All things being equal (assuming the SMTA is in the same shape as the SMDTA), the diesel has a much greater value to a collector since relatively few were made ( I think less than 20% of SMTAs were diesel). That said, some folks shy away from early Farmall diesels due to the complexity of the gas/diesel system. I just think they're plain neat! The wide front isn't a great deal in my book unless it includes power steering.
