Hugh, I understand your concern, I have been using a porta Power (hydraulics) for a good many years to remove and put on bearings and other seeminly unmoveable objects. They can be used incorrectly, as with the hot wrench, one can get materials TOO hot and cause more damage with a torch an the use of hydraulics. I am like Allan in Neb, would rather restort to almost any other means to get an object to move than using a torch.

If you will notice in the middle of picture you will see fairly large hammer, which I use to firmly tap tube to viberate and break loose the rust between axels tubes. Also this axel DID not come apart easy, I bent my extensions on my 4 ton porta power as tubes would not budge. That is when I went looking for my 10T that musta found legs and walked off.
