Lanse, Three ideas. Stay small, Cub - A - B - C or Super of that series. Participate in 4H and connect with farmers that know someone that knows some body etc. A tractor repair is way cool for the fair. (I have a 14 yr old he is going to be polishing up his craftsman "tractor" that was reconstructed by he and I (I did some structural welding and helped arrange the electrical) for 4H fair the first week in August. One of our 4Hers is going to engineering school this fall after getting involved in mechanical devices starting with lawnmowers. Put an ad in the local paper,and Farm paper/bullitin for a project tractor. Good luck, I am glad you are setting your sights on a goal and going forward.
