Hi I have no idea why there was a safty concern . The only thing I can think of is , that it would give me a slight advantage to turn the tractor under load to change direction to reduce wheel spinn out on one side . By turning the differential shifts the load to the other wheel and helps to continue movement for a few more feet before complete spinn out . Reducing engine speed is not an option on a 4 cylinder engine they stall out because the inertia of the lighter fly wheel will reduce engine speed to suddenly and the governor can not recover engine speed quickly . Other tractors with heavy fly wheels dont have that problem , they can throttle back without stalling and use the lower RPM to reduce wheel spinnout . The longer one can keep the wheels from spinning out , the further one will travel on the track . Bert
