Wiring procedure for 1956 Farmall Cub

Does anyone know the correct wiring procedure for a 1956 Farmall Cub? I refurbished the tractor and somehow I got the wiring screwed-up. Below is the way I now have the tractor wired. I know this is incorrect because it doesn’t charge the battery. First let me orientate the light switch connections. Looking at the back of the light switch with the portion at the bottom being with the two terminal connecting screws parallel within the little dogleg plate (with dogleg pointing down). Going counter clockwise the number “1” connection is the left terminal screw, number “2” is the screw straight across to the right, number “3” connection is the next screw up (counter clockwise), number “4” is next then number “5”. There is a spring type wire connecting number 4 & 5 terminal screws. Tractor is currently wired as below.

a—Hot wire runs from the battery to the number 1 screw connection on the light switch. Also, a hot wire runs from the plus battery post to the starter switch on the starter motor.

b---A wire runs from number 2 connection to the fuse terminal on the dash panel, which connects to the ON-SWITCH which connects to the coil. Not a magneto ignition.

c---The number 3 connection runs to the backlight.

d---The number 4 connections runs to the front-lights.

e---There is no connections (never was) to the number 5 connecting screw.

f---A wire runs from the BAT terminal on the voltage regulator to the PLUS terminal on the ammeter. A wire runs from the negative terminal on the ammeter to the starter switch on the starter motor, which feeds back to the battery.

g---A wire runs from the FIELD terminal on the voltage regulator to the FIELD post on the generator.

h---A wire runs from the terminal on the back of the voltage regulator to the armature terminal on the generator.

i---Right now I don’t have the wire running from the LOAD (“L”) on the voltage regulator to anywhere. I know the “L” terminal is supposed to power the accessories (Lights). However, the lights are getting their power from the number 1 connection on the light switch. One wiring diagram shows this wire going to a Junction box on the battery box but my tractor doesn’t have a Junction box on the battery box. Where should this wire be connected? I was thinking to the number 1 connection on the light switch but then where would the coil get power to start? Now the coil gets power by way of the current through the light switch going through a fuse to the ON-SWITCH to the coil.

The tractor starts and runs great, the lights all work. However, the battery doesn’t charge.
The ammeter gage just wiggles straight up the middle, the battery is not charging. The battery, voltage regulator and ammeter gage are new. Had the generator checked and it shows putting out 17 amps. However, when running and I put a test light to the FIELD and ARMATURE terminal on the voltage regulator its shows no current. I did polarize the generator. What is the problem here?
I cannot find a wiring diagram for this tractor.
