If memory serves me right on my 404 it did not have a cover gasket and I used a very thin strip of gasket maker around the mating serfices. I cut the tip so it only put out a line like the size of a ballpoint pin insert. Worked for me. The hydraulic check point should be above the pto and is two alen screws. My 404 is the industrial/low version.
