This is a repost to get the picture and video to work. First, thanks to those of you who posted responses to my questions. My Farmall B is back together and hauled wood this weekend. I posting a picture showing what was wrong. I got this tractor this spring. It ran good but always had a clicking nose coming from the governor. I found the problem was a broken tooth on the cam gear. A month ago there was a loud snap and the engine started to run hot. I parked it in the garage and started to trouble shoot. I needed to put in rings any way. Number two cylinder was pushing oil.. There was a broken oil ring. When the engine was dissembled I was surprised to find that everything measured near new specs. I put in new rings and connecting rod bearings. My IH dealer had a good used cam with gear and governor gear. Put it all back together and it started in the first try.. There is a short video of the results.
