They are very efficient tractors, both from a durability and fuel economy point of view. Looking to the future and some other functions you may wish to use your tractor for, I'd stay newer than 1963 in tractors over 35 hp, you'll buy that draft controlled 3 point hitch for very few dollars. I say this just comparing price against older Farmalls with Fast Hitch and standard drawbars.

Of course if you want to plow more than 150, just up the hp and the plow bottoms, just stay newer than 63. If you want to plow big acreage then you could go 350 hp articulated and 10 bottom plow. That is how I'd match them up, look at your acreage to plow and go from there.
