Had a helicoil in a 350 chevy one time it worked good for a while, then when i changed the plugs later on the helicoil broke somewhere about half way when i screwed the new plug in dont know if it was the heat that got to it or just a bad application of me putting it in anyways i didn't catch it and it ate the cylinder walls and rings up something terrible as numerous as heads are i think i would replace it,IF it was mine to save a whole engine but its what ever the owner wants, just my 2 cents
