Just relaying what I've heard in the past, but working on the T/A requires that the tractor be split TWICE. First at the bell housing, second between the T/A housing and the transmission. Not only will you need splitting stands, you'll need a cherry picker to hang the T/A housing from. Also, my advice is to replace the T/A while you've got it apart. The clutches rarely are ever worn out on T/As, and there is a false economy to replacing it without replacing the whole thing, because you will end up tearing the tractor completely down and doing the double-split all over again to replace the rest of the T/A anyway... Sooooo, either replace the entire T/A or don't touch the T/A at all, IMHO.
