Allen in NE, need help!

Allen, just was wondering if you could help me out with a few things on swaping a hydraulic pump. You have been really helpfull on my past dilema's. I am trying to learn how to work on my own equipment & have limited knowledge on "mechanics", but I am slowly picking things up from this great board & its members.
I have a 51 M that I am replacing the pump (as you may remember from my previous recent posts). Last week the pump split in half on me & I have a new one on its way. A couple of months ago the pump started to slowly leak, so it was just a matter of time with it's demise. Finally it went south on me while moving snow from the two recent blizzards in WY.
The pump is an IH pump (#128190C91) & the hoses feed into the bottom of it. It is a live hydraulic pump that is next to the distributor. I started to taking everything off to replace the pump when it gets here. Everything has went good so far (& even found some things that I need to replace like my distrtibutor cap). The question that I had so far was, when I took my hydraulic pump off it appears that the "idler gear" is attached to it. Would this be correct? If so, I am assuming I need to take it off & put it on the new one.
