Farmer, Sounds like you may be trying to crossbreed a 3 Terminal (BAT ARM FLD) or a 4 Terminal (BAT ARM FLD LOAD) Voltage Regulator to a simple 2 wire (BAT GEN/ARM) Cutout Relay and light switch control charging system. Dont be upset, REGARDLESS what you have we can make it work, cuz with the right wiring (even if not per a Standard Bob Diagram) it can charge n work fine. The black box device on the genny how many wiring terminals does it have and are they labeled????????????????? If we know what you have we can tell you how to make it work REGARDLESS, provided that if its just the simple 2 wire cutout relay, you have the correct (sounds like you do) 4 position LHBD light switch. Still, if its a 3 or 4 terminal Voltage Regulator, it can work regardless which switch you have even if some of the positions arent wired and used. John T
