That is what I did when I built my 460 pulling tractor. Found a standard 282 crank and had it checked out and put in the 236. I then balanced the motor which cost 200 bucks and put in victor head gasket on the port and polished head, added a turbo and turn it at 3200 Rpms. The crank from gas 263 will also fit right in the 221 gas 460 motor and make that 460 come to life. Crankshafts from 282 diesel motors are pretty easy to find around here.
