Thanks for all of the replies. The mag is off the tractor. I put in a brand new coil. when I installed the coil i put my finger on the top bump on the coil. i did this before hooking to condensor. turned mag by hand and it shocked me. put in the new condenser and points set gap at .013 and used ohm meter to see if i had any resistance in wire going from condensor to points and it was fine. never coul see a spark at points when turning mag though? maybe you cant see? also checked two gears and set filed tooth between f and r lines on the black shaft . put it together and it when i turn it by hand it will shock me coming out of tower, when i pull cap off and put my finger on the contact point on the inside of cap it will shock as well. when i put cap and rotor on i cant get a shock on any plug wire. i dont ge a spark when i jump coil wire to ground terminal. it is a strong shock, hard to hold on to. but cant get spark. any ideas? thanks
