The resevior on the belly pump only holds about 1.5 gallons. The capacity is too small. The oil will get hot. On the Super M, the battery box was moved under the seat and a hydraulic reservior was installed in the place of the battery box. Depending on your considerations about originality and mounting an auxilary hyd. tank, the channel iron frame rails make a good spot to mount a tank near the live hyd. pump. One of my friends (a cotton farmer) used a M cotton picker chassis, moved the ring gear to the other side of the pinion, installed a pto hyd. pump on the output shaft, mounted a reservior between the seat and right fender and mounted a 4 row cotton plant topper on the front end. The old M looked different but it worked and ran 4 hydraulic motors and 2 cylinders.
