x-high speed low and reverse attachment y-hydra-touch power supply attachment (12 GPM pump) z-hydra-touch power supply attachment (17 GPM pump) You need to understand that the IPTO gets its power from a spline on the pressure plate which is bolted to the flywheel. When the IPTO is engaged, it will always turn when the engine is turning. It has no connection to the transmission because the power is split off before the reverser or TA. Those two items get their power from the clutch disc when it is "clamped" between the pressure plate and flywheel. I can't help you with the noise as I know nothing about reversers. In fact, it could be something downstream of that unit. That would be the transmission.
