First off get the crank turned and no there is not suppose to be a tapper in the bore and as for what is the stock bore i do not know with out going out to the truck and getting the book to see where you are at now but yes get it bored and while it is at the machine shop do the valves . Then when it comes home get the detergent out and scrub your littel heart out on the oil gallies and the bore till ya start to see it turning brown then it is clean rince and blow dry coat with oil and put her together .
