Yes, belt tension is adjusted by changing the width of the pulley. You don't need to know the length of belt; only the application. Just give the parts guy the make, model, year, and displacement. If you can't get anywhere with a parts clerk who might be more at ease with the inventory at McDonalds, call any Case-IH dealer and have him ship you a belt.
