Are you positive that the only fuel filter on the thing is located in the pump inside the tank? Not real familiar with the Dodges, but on all the Ford and Chevy fuel injection vehicles there's a filter in the line between the tank and engine, usually tucked up in the frame channel someplace. I've been wrong before, and if you do know for sure there's no other easily accessible filter, I appologize.
