560D finally running

My 560D blew a head gasket nearly 2 years ago. She sat outside a couple of winters, but this spring we decided to bite the bullet. We learned that once you bite you'd better be ready to chew whatever you get. Like a bad crack in the head perpendicular to another sloppy repair, being shipped the big wrist pins and pistons several times (even through Case/IH) and finally giving in and buying connecting rods to match the pins, and a few other smaller lumps along the way.

Then, a couple of days after she's been buttoned up, these jokers get on here and start a detailed conversation about the 282 sucking down light-press sleeves - not really want I wanted to be hearing right about then - caused a bit of indigestion. But I had some input from here earlier in the rebuild that lead me to be concerned enough to print off the comments and show them to the neighbor that did the job. He opted for green lock-tite around the sleeves.

Yesterday I picked her up, drove off to another farm for a heavy duty 6' Bush Hog I'd bought a month ago, and then a 5 mile drive home. Varied rpms along the way, some in 4th and some in 5th. She makes an awful sweet sound after being dead so long, and having a working tach is pretty nice, too. Been going slow on the break-in after recent comments here. Figure she ran close to 3 hours before I even tried the mower. I did an hour of light mowing before I got into some reed canary - kept the mower lifted up a little and the TA pulled back (did I mention how much I missed the TA?). I figure she's got about 6 hours on her now, and about ready for work.
