I had posted a question recently about my 300U's tach acting up...today I discovered why. When I took the tach off the tractor and opened it up there was quite a bit of engine oil in it. Now, the question is what's gone wrong that the oil is coming up the tach cable? The cable is only 3 years old, is there a seal missing somewhere or something else I've overlooked? Any help is appreciated. I don't know if I'll get the current tach to work again (it's draining right now), but I need to solve the oil problem before putting something back in the dash. Thanks for the help.
