I JUST PICKED UP A 42 M AND IT HAS NO BELT PULLEY OR TRANS FOR THE BELT PULLEY .IN ITS PLACE IS A GEAR HOUSING THAT HAS A SHIFTER ROD AND GEARS . IF YOU PUT THE MAIN TRANS SHIFTER IN NEAUTRAL AND INGAGE THIS LEVER YOU HAVE AN EXTRA GEAR THAT IS FASTER THAN 4TH AND SLOWER THAN 5TH . THIS WORKS GREAT AND IS THE GEAR I ALWAYS USE . I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THESE UNITS BEFORE AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MAYBE IT IS A M&W UNIT . IT DOES HAVE A M&W DIST. CONVERSION ON IT . THANKS FOR ANY INFO . RICH
