I just took a engine from a 300LP (C-169) and put it in my Super H. Since I was taking the engine out of the 300, I thought it would just swap out but I learned, which I should have known before trying that I had to change the Flywheel/Clutch because on the 300 it was different for the live PTO. Second the governor is slightly different because of the way the throttle linkage connects, so I took the governor off the H and found out the throttle shaft is bigger on the 300 carb so I had to change that over because I wanted to leave the LP setup alone on the engine. Next I wanted to just use the front end off of the 300 on the H but found that the 300 is slightly longer than the H so the front end won't interchange. And last since the 300 is longer the fan shroud from the 300 won't work on the H. But back to your original question the basic engine itself will bolt up just fine. Hope this helps.
