We've got three tractors with the six-cylinder 358 German diesel. They're the exact same design as the smaller engine in your 464. We use Case-IH No. 1 30 weight April-October and Case-IH No. 1 10 weight November-March. We've had the 786 since it was new in 1982, it has almost 9000 hrs. on it now and has never had the cylinder head or oil pan removed. Can't argue with those results. I'm in Minnesota so I know all about cold. Plugging in the block heater for an hour or so when it's below freezing is one of the best things you can do for an engine.
