George, Adding an extra plug washer is one "Old Farmers Trick" to make the plug run hotter. Ive seen it done when the plugs are fouling but its sort of a band aid fix like when they add an extra lil air gap in the plug wire to the plug to make a partly fouled plug go ahead n fire. John T
