The Ta serial number tractors (Ta-135000-135661) were f-20s that were made in 1934 the year the depression was in full swing.A decision was made by IH to use up some leftover farmall regular parts, namely the countershaft housing (1523-db)to get their money out of these large expensive parts,IH was trying to keep people employed.A suggestion was made within the company to use a separate serial number series, starting roughly where the farmall regular left off. The first Ta serial number tractor was built december 21,1933,while the last was built in february,1934.Apparently no FA prefix F20s were built during this time. All the Ta series tractors had the Duckbill steering gear cover.
