Ran the h roday with the seven foot mower and got it up to temperature and retorqued the head and set the valves again.Got all the sheet metal back on rechecked the fluids mowed for another hour in grass/should have been baled for hay,it was 3 to 4 feet tall.Changed the oil and filter still holding 60 psi oil pressure even at peak temperature.Went back to the field with it and as son as I started mowing again I hit a limb hid ander the grass and it flipped up and tore the 1/2 inch pipe out of the belly pump so I had to go back to the garage and get my tools and oil.Used pipe easy out to extract to broken pipe installed new pipe and hook the hoses back up and filled with oil.Got started again at 6 oclock and mowed for a while checked all the fluids again. After that I mowed until dark with no problems would have kept mowing but I dont have the light bar and lights on yet.It never got over 180 on the water temp even in the high grass.I AM HAPPY I have had a smile on my face all day.Going at it again at firt light.Going to do five hours or so and change the oil again. The neighbor buddy of mine came over and sat under a tree and watched me today.Hes almost eighty so i helped him up on it and turned him loose for a couple of laps.He said he missed the Farmall C he used to have and thought he might get one and asked if i would help him fix it up.of course you all know I said yes.I hope to help him find a good one so he gets plenty of time to enjoy it......God Bless you Tractor Brothers be safe and giver" heck,...River Bottom Farmer

It was the day before Christmas shutdown at work and I asked our lead engineering expert Scott Andrzejewski what he was going to do over the holidays. He said that he had some corn that he still needed to pick with an antique one-row New Idea corn picker. Scott has a nice farm about an hour north of Lansing in St. Johns, MI. He wanted to get the rest of his corn in by the next day (Christmas Eve). We had about an inch of new snow on the ground and single digit temperatures. So in the bac ... [Read Article]
