Over the years I've seen that Gordon - Smith Company, Bowling Green, Kentucky, has put out many air compressor systems that are based on common multi-cylinder gasoline engines. I have personal experience with one I owned that was based on the Model A & B Ford 4 cylinder engine (1928 - [way into the thirties]) and another based on a 302" Ford V-8 while working overseas. The essence of their system and product was a custom cylinder head, using some cylinders firing to produce power and the rest operating to make compressed air. Scrape thru the grunge and see what ID is in the cylinder head casting. They did a good product and plainly marked their stuff.
