Hi Tractor Neighbours

Welp,I had my first day at the farm by myself today, getting stronger and feeling more like myself. First thing I noticed when I drove in was a little black blob about halfway down the field. I walked down and there was a bright eyed black as coal new born Angus heifer and moma right there as I approached, I wasn't sure of moma as she was purchased last fall but she was quiet and let me get up to the calf, I figured about an hour old, the sun shining on her had her as warm as toast, saw her up sucking a little later so everything should be fine. I walked up to all the cows and scratched their foreheads and backs, some came over to me on their own, I even scratched Bully Bully, but he was laying down and didn't bother to get up. My cattle are quiet and tame to work with, I can call my cows into the barn or out to the field, always made it a point that if I called them it wasn't a false alarm, always had some feed to give them or a gate to open for them to get to some feed and it makes it easy when they will follow voice commands. Had three neighbours stop in to see how I was doing so all in all it was a great day but just getting out in the field seemed to make things appear normal and right and that calf, what a beauty. You see the rythm of life and it picks up your spirit!. I plan to spend tomorrow at the farm too. I don't do too much strenous stuff yet,I sit down on the tail gate and take a breather, have a visit with the cats. I may work on a hay rack I'm building and of course check for more blobs in the field, still have 12 more to go. And finally a reminder.."Do you Know What Your Blood Pressure Is???
