The belt pulley shares its oil with the trans/axle. There is no drain for the gear box. It is splash lubed from the gears below and a shelf in the pulley housing that collects the slung oil. If you remove the housing and expect to use the belt pulley immediately after re-installation, you should pour about a quart of tranny oil through the pipe plug on top. The 660 belt pulley will fit all M sized and W6 sized tractors back to 1939.
