I need help. I recently repainted a 1953 farmall cub. It now looks great but will not start. I replaced all wires, plugs, coil, dist cap, etc for cosmetic purposes. All parts were bought from the local IH dealer. Once installed, it started right off the first time I tried it. And several times there after. Now it will not start. The plugs are wet, so fuel is not the problem. There is also good spark. So what else could be causing my headache? What else could have gone wrong from the last time it started for me, which was this morning? The system is a 12 volt system, in fact even the starter has been converted. The coil gets hot very quickly with the ignition on, is this common? I am use to diesel tractors and have not had much experience on the gas side of things. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
