RDC: I think plow bottom wear parts have a lot to do with where you live plus the parts guy you get when you go shopping. For some mysterious reason some parts guys just don't want to bother with old plows. Personally I think it's just laziness.

I've had two different people at TSC stores here in Canada, tell me they can using a diagram, measure my old parts, and order any wear part for any plow ever built in North America. They use their own sheet of paper with the part already drawn in and measure placment and size of holes. I have used this service twice and both times, I had a perfect fit part 3 days later. There are companies out there forging these parts.

I will agree most parts clerks don't like doing this. I suspect there is a certain skill to getting this diagram right. I remember one day in particular at TSC, clerk told me, " You come back when Joe is in I'm not capable of the drawing." He gave me Joe's schedule, two days later I went back, Joe drew the diagram, bingo, two days later a perfect fit. It would be my opinion some of these guys have made mistakes, what could a store do with a plow point that fits nothing. Someone has to pay, I doubt if you get the customer too excited about paying.

My advice would be check out plowing clubs in your area, find out where they are going for these parts. Doing this diagram thing takes some skill. It's a problem that will only get worse as time goes on.
