There seems to be recurring posts on dirt in fuel related probems.(crud in carb, etc.) I have two things that I would like to pass on I believe would prevent a lot of issues. (I learned this after cleaning many fuel lines and carbs and loosing much time in the field) After you rinse out the fuel tank: 1. Make sure the sediment bowl has a screen in it where it screws into the bottom of the fuel tank. 2. Install an inline filter about half way to the carb from the tank. You can buy the sediment bowl screens (about the size of half a pen)at any farm supply. The inline filters start at about $3 at any auto supply. Cut the line and use hose to clamp it in. I finally learned this about 10 years ago and now every tractor (and truck) I own has this and if I buy a tractor the first thing I do is make sure it has both of these item. I have not had one dirt related problem since.
