Ok here goes get you pencile and paper ready this gets involved as it is not the same as doing a non asst. clutch , With engine off first go to the wright side of the tractor and pull the pin that works the transmission brake next you pull the pin on the Ft. clutch rod and push it back into the cylinder till you feel resistance to set the piston and hold it there next loosen the the lock nut on the rod from the pedal to the cylinder and adjust it out so that there is some resistance then lock it down , now this is the way i do it take a 3/8th bolt it will have a 9/16th head place it between the clutch pedal and the platform this set the free travel now adjust the rod from the cylinder to the clutch bellcrank so the the pin will slide in now here is where it get tricky with age and ware on these old tractors it is sort of a feel thing ya have to hold the bellcrank aganist the throw out bearing fermly and get the pin in lock all lock nuts remove the 3/8th bolt now a extra set of hands or feet in needed here . Next got to the trans brake with tractor in park and in nutral start the engine loosen the lock nut on the clevis of the transbrake rod ,push the clutch pedal to the floor and hold it there now hold the trans brake lever to the rear till it stops then see if you can Slide the pin in if not the adjuts the clevis till it will slide in then here again it is sotra a feel thing you let up the clutch pedal then add 1/2 to 1 full turn to the clevis and install the pin and hair pin lock the lock nut down . Now go back around and loosen the T/A dump valve adjusting bolt and back it out 4-5 full turns now push the clutch pedal to the floor the T/A teltail lite should be off ifit is not the back the bolt out some more then start turning it in till it just comes on then stop let the clutch pedal up and add one more turn to the adjusting bolt and hold it in that posission and lock the lock nut down . Now you are done .

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
