Thanks Redfan, I have removed the pin but cannot pull the gear lever out. A mate of mine suggested that if the selector is a full ball you cannot remove it. I will take your advise but and go through the pulley as this sounds a lot easier than removing fuel tank and everything else in its path. Thank you once again Redfan. Rob
