I am almost certian you can circle the 2nd weekendin April, it is free, bring your tractor and plow if you like. Only stipulation is one person on a tractor for saftey. I usualy try to go just a little early to help out, hooking up plows etc. Probably 3 miles north and a 1/4 mile west of Mainard.

The guy that owns the outfit is Dan G. and a couple hundred letters of name behind the G, for a last name. I'm ashamed I can't remember his last name, he and his dad are the type of folks you just have to like. Dan makes signs etc. in Oelwein. His dad (Leon)passed away a little over a year ago. Green was always their first flavor, but sold most of them (25 or so)off at a estate sale. I'm guessing less than 30 tractors and plows participate in plowing, some are shinny and some are in their work cloths. There are a few small flea markets 1-4 usually. Just in case my ISP doesn't keep my current rates and I decline from renewing my Internet. My phone number is 563-964-2670 I had a computer crash so the guys name I can't confirm, but I know a guy who knows a guy whose friend knows a guy with the number. I will get it in the next day or two. Where R U and have you ever been to the NEIFAA show days? Many times called the Plagman Barn? Antique show in September? Dave Bacon Garnavillo ----Dave NE IA

Today's Featured Article - Identifying Tractor Smells - by Curtis Von Fange. We are continuing our series on learning to talk the language of our tractor. Since we can’t actually talk to our tractors, though some of the older sect of farmers might disagree, we use our five physical senses to observe and construe what our iron age friends are trying to tell us. We have already talked about some of the colors the unit might leave as clues to its well-being. Now we are going to use our noses to diagnose particular smells. ELECTRICAL SMELLS ... [Read Article]
